Evaluation of the D and A/D
My research process went rather well. I felt i could have done more to find past developments of unique technology within the browser competitions and seen what makes others unique. As i developed my ideas i realised that over complicating things was too harsh on the user, and seeing as the target market was 18-25, I decided to create a simple, effective design. Which enabled the user to explore the web and it's elements with ease whilst being safe from viruses etc. Most of the internet is full of spam, it's a fact. People want to find good quality websites, not 10 year old websites with invalid information. With my concept it enabled users to explore the web and filter out random pointless websites which did no use to the user. By all means it does not promote mainstream sites over, new growing sites. As you search upon sites the toolbar i designed named (Related sites) Learns from your user profile, creating a database of websites you may prefer over others. Each site is labeled with a Genre ie- Facebook ( Social-Networking, Mainstream). It will then show a list of similar websites of the (Social-Networking, Mainstream) and then smaller but similar sites (Social-Networking). Which was all in a simple tab integrated into the toolbar of Internet Explorer.
